Good Things Grow Here

Our Curriculum

At Mill View we work together to create a curriculum and environment that encourages children to think and feel.

It is our aim to ensure that our curriculum leads children through deep knowledge, while allowing them wide opportunities to develop enquiring minds and develop their own opinions.  We want our children to leave us equipped with the skills and motivation to contribute to the common good, address global challenges and flourish in a complex world.  Ultimately, we want our children to develop hearts and minds that can change the world, not keep it as it is.

Our Curriculum has been designed with the aim that all children will acquire key skills and essential knowledge while connecting ideas through meaningful learning experiences and themes.

Within each year group children will work towards end of year objectives, building a progression of skills and knowledge.  Learning is carefully sequenced and integrated across year groups to ensure that children experience a broad, balanced and meaningful curriculum throughout their time at Mill View.

We plan deep learning experiences across all subjects with knowledge carefully sequenced across year groups.  Our class themes are driven by subject drivers which allow children to immerse themselves fully in their studies while making links across subjects & learning opportunities.
