At Mill View primary school we believe that Together Everyone Achieves More.  We value strong links between families and school and recognise the importance of trust and shared responsibility in education.  It is important to us to nurture individuality and our children feel safe and valued as part of our school community.
We provide a stimulating environment where children’s imagination & interests are inspired by motivated, dedicated and highly skilled staff.
We continuously strive to raise standards and provide the very best education for all our children, their families and the wider community.

Our core professional purpose and principles together with our vision and strategy
bind us together to provide a clear and constant direction.

Everything we do is driven by our core purpose;
To fully invest in a happy and safe community that inspires and challenges all.

We are guided by the simple principles that all members of our school family;

  • Respect each other
  • Play their own unique part in our TEAM
  • Actively learn for life
  • Feel and celebrate success and achievement

At Mill View we believe these 7 attributes form our ‘Characteristics of Effective Learning’
which will remain with our children as they grow and develop well beyond their time in our care.

Our next open day for prospective Reception children September 2020 is at 1pm on
Wednesday 20th November

Please contact our school office to make an appointment if you would like to come and meet us.

Please follow us on twitter @mill_view for regular updates of what's happening inside our school.

Local Area SEND Inspection

The Information Advice and Support Service has produced a fact sheet for parents and  carers about the Local Area Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Inspection. It is important for parents and carers to know about the inspection as Ofsted and CQC will want to hear from families about what differences the reforms have made to their lives  The fact sheet gives details about the inspection process and how they can become involved. We would be grateful if you could make families aware of this fact sheet. Please click here for the link on the Local Offer to the fact sheet. Please do get in touch if you would like hard copies.
